Two Factor Authentication

• What is two factor authentication?

  It is a security feature where you will need to verify two factors to Login to your trading platform. ( Mobile or Web )

• Why do I need two factor authentications for online trading?

  With reference to NSE circular, Circular Ref. No: 36/2022 dated June 14, 2022, which states that in order to prove an additional layer of security to your trading experience, it is mandatory to have two factor authentication ( 2FA) for login into your trading platforms.

• What are the two factors of authentication?

  For TTweb, we will be using the following :

  1. Knowledge factor (something only the user knows): - Password
  2. Possession factor (something only the user has): - OTP

• How many times do I have to enter OTP?

  OTP will be asked once per day, unless you log out or change your browser.

• Where will I receive the OTP for Login?

  You will receive the OTP on your registered mobile number & email address. In case you want to verify / check your contact details -

  1. Login to https://ttweb.indiainfoline.com/Trade/Login.aspx
  2. Click on ‘My Account’
  3. Edit /View your details
